Practive provides AI phone receptionists for dental practices. In this policy "we", "us" and "our" mean Practive.
Practive is the trading name of Ryan Monaghan, a sole trader based in the
United Kingdom.

We are the data controller for the personal data described here. That means we decide what is collected and why, and we are responsible for looking after it.
At demo.practive.co.uk you can have a spoken conversation with "Sophie", an AI receptionist answering for a fictional dental practice. Here is exactly what happens to that call.
Sophie is artificial intelligence. She is not a human being and she is not a real receptionist at a real practice. The practice she answers for, its prices and its address are all invented for the demonstration.
| An audio recording of the call | Both sides of the conversation. |
|---|---|
| A written transcript | Produced automatically from the audio. |
| Any name you give | Sophie asks for a name as part of the pretend booking. |
| Call details | Time, length, how the call ended, and a short automatic summary. |
| Your IP address | Used briefly to prevent abuse of the demo. |
Phone numbers, email addresses, postal addresses, dates of birth, card and bank details are automatically detected and removed from the recording and the transcript before they are stored. If you read a phone number out to Sophie, it is stripped out and never kept.
You do not need to give Sophie real details. Made-up ones work just as well for trying her out.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: demonstrating and improving a product that people have chosen to try. You choose whether to start a call, and the recording is disclosed before you do. If you would rather not be recorded, simply do not start a call.
Demo call recordings, transcripts and logs are automatically deleted after six months. This happens on its own and cannot be skipped.
If you book a call with us or email us, we keep your name, email address, phone number, the name of your practice and notes about our conversations. We use this to arrange the call, prepare for it and follow up afterwards. The lawful basis is legitimate interests, or performance of a contract if you become a customer.
We keep this for as long as we are in contact and for two years afterwards, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
We contact dental practices by email and telephone about our services. Where we do this, we use business contact details that are publicly published by the practice, and we contact the practice in its business capacity.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: reaching practices that are likely to want what we offer. You can tell us to stop at any time, by replying to any email or writing to ryan@practive.co.uk, and we will remove you and not contact you again.
We use a small number of companies to run the service. They process data on our instructions only.
| Retell AI | Runs the voice agent and stores the call recording and transcript. |
|---|---|
| Vercel | Hosts the demo website. |
| Google (reCAPTCHA) | Checks visitors are not automated bots. Google receives your IP address and browsing signals for this purpose. |
| Cal.com | Handles call bookings if you book one. |
| Google (Gmail) | Our email. |
| Pipedrive | Our customer records. |
| Make | Connects the above together. |
Some of these are based outside the UK. Where data leaves the UK it is protected by the safeguards required under UK data protection law, such as standard contractual clauses.
We do not sell your data, and we never will.
The demo page does not use advertising or analytics cookies. It stores a single counter in your own browser to limit how many demo calls can be made in a day. That counter never leaves your device. Google reCAPTCHA sets its own cookies to tell humans from bots.
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
Email ryan@practive.co.uk and we will deal with it within one month. There is no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.
If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and change the date at the top.
